I Will, You Go

The Lord is speaking to Moses from the burning bush.

He’s telling Moses He has seen the affliction of His people in Egypt, how they are oppressed by their Egyptian taskmasters, that He has heard their prayers and intends to do something about it:

“So I have come down to deliver them from the power of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and spacious land, to a land flowing with milk and honey…”

(Exodus 3:7-9).

Moses is probably thinking, “Great! The Lord is going to set His people free.  I can’t wait to see this.”  Then came the shocker, at least for Moses:

“Therefore, come now, and I will send you to Pharaoh, so that you may bring My people, the sons of Israel, out of Egypt.”

(Exodus 3:10, emphasis added).  Hold on a minute, Moses probably thought, you just said you were coming down to deliver them.  What do I have to do with this?

The truth is, deliverance, salvation, financial provision and the other things people pray to God for most often come to them by God working through people.

If you are a Christian, there are people within your sphere of influence for whom God wants to provide deliverance, salvation and finances, and He wants to work through you to provide it.  He is sending you.  Will you go? GS
